Description
This text highlights the increasing research base of tourism management. Topical issues such as the economic, sociocultural and environmental impacts of tourism, sustainability, destination development, tourism markets and tourism research are developed theoretically and supported with international examples and vignettes. Each chapter contains several key pedagogical features designed to enhance the academic rigour of the text by showing readers how the principles of tourism management are applied in practice.
