内容説明

The title of the Xth World Congress of Psychiatry in Madrid, Spain, one of the largest international gatherings of psychiatrists ever seen, was "One world, one language." The emphasis in this collection of more than 40 seminal papers presented by leading psychiatrists at the Congress is on psychiatry in a world that is characterized by diversity, from which we can all learn, but in which common approaches are also needed. The main areas covered by this volume include: psychiatry and mental health in a diverse and changeable world; culture and mental illness; economics and mental health; human rights, disasters and violence; the common language in diagnosis and epidemiology; new faces of old diseases; new perspectives on schizophrenia; challenges to psychotherapy.
