Description

Netscape are planning the release of a collection of interlocking tools to give Webmasters a complete toolbox for building and managing Web sites: Netscape ONE. The components include: Netscape Gold (the most popular Web browser), SuiteSpot (a collection of Web server software), LiveWire (software for managing Web sites), JavaScript (programming language for writing Web applications), LiveConnect (a protocol that allows Java, JavaScript, and Netscape browser plug-ins to work together). This sourcebook gives Webmasters technical background and hands-on techniques for building and managing sophisticated Web sites using this technology. The text also covers: how all the Netscape ONE tools work in unison; how to set up Netscape's Suite Spot Web Servers; programming with CORBA, IIOP and IFC standards; and writing Netscape One applications with Java and JavaScript.
