Description
Netscape Communicator is a new all-in-one internet and intranet communications software package. Expected in early 1997 and priced the same as the current version of Netscape Navigator, it includes Navigator 4, the new upcoming version of the most popular Web browser; Messenger, Netscape's improved email program; Collabra, group discussion software which offers easy access to discussion forums; Composer, an easy-to-use, much-improved WYSIWYG HTML editor for creating and publishing web pages; and Conference, which enables users to simultaneously share information and talk to co-workers in real-time on the Internet. For those building their own Web pages, for whom Navigator is the overwhelming application of choice, Netscape Communicator offers dozens of improvements - ensuring that the Netscape Communicator: Visual QuickStart Guide will appeal to both Web surfers and Web site creators.
All of these Communicator components are explained fully in Netscape Communicator: Visual QuickStart Guide. Using the VQS series' proven rich graphical approach, the book helps readers go from installing the software to using its advanced capabilities.
