Description
This is a previously unpublished book by Alan Watts who is going to be featured on the `Reputations' TV series. It has been very well edited by Watt's son Mark to give a fascinating insight into his father's perspective on the Tao.
Watts played a major role in bringing Taoist and Zen philosophy to the West in the 1960s and early 1970s. In his later years Watts became increasingly fascinated with the Tao and had been intending before he died to write a classic book on the subject, much as he had done in The Way of Zen. He did not live to complete this. The following chapters are derived from lectures delivered between 1968 and 1973 at weekend seminars. They were very lively events and drew great crowds. Those lectures have helped complete the body of work that Watts had completed before his death.
This volume looks set to become a classic and definitive work on this fascinating subject.
