Description and Table of Contents

Description

This updated text offers preparation for board certification and recertification exams in internal medicine. It features new chapters on medical genetics and neurology, and major revisions and additions to chapters on liver disorders, fluid and electrolyte abnormalities, breast cancer, coronary artery disease and medical diseases in pregnancy. The pulmonary medicine board simulation chapter has also been extensively revised. The authors of each chapter have increasingly used bulleted points, clinical case vignettes and review exercises to convey important clinical "pearls". A mock board examination consisting of 150 questions, with explanations of the answers, has been added.
