内容説明
The British Wind Energy Association's 21st Annual Conference, aptly titled Wind Power Comes of Age, celebrated the successes of the wind energy industry, the fastest growing energy technology in the world, and looked to the future with the development of the offshore sector. EC DGXVII gave the European perspective and this was followed by a strong reaffirmation of the UK government's commitment to renewable energy technologies from the Minister for the Environment. The papers presented at the conference examined important areas such as: the processes necessary to develop the offshore industry; how to increase the contribution of wind to the energy market; continued advances in technology, increasing efficiency and reducing costs; the effect of the new electricity trading arrangements and green trading; public affairs and relations and the role of the media. BWEA21 was the most successful BWEA conference to date, strongly reinforcing the positive outlook of the industry at large, and potential for growth from the development of offshore wind energy. These proceedings are an important source of information to all those with an interest in renewables and wind energy.
