Description
To be fully effective, managers need to recognize that risk exists, and to manage it effectively. The process for the management of risk should be built into overall management processes, and should not be something extra that may be forgotten. This work offers a set of case studies designed to document first-hand experiences of organizations that have adopted a systematic approach to the management of risk. The case studies have been selected to show how the contributors set about tackling problems encountered when implementing certain elements of the management of risk in a live situation. The focus is on problems encountered and overcome, the comprises needed, and the real benefits delivered.
