Description
As the Web becomes more internationally accessible, Webmasters and developers are increasingly facing linguistic problems, such as how to display non-Latin alphabets. These professionals need a resource for solving such problems in order to communicate effectively, to attract the widest possible audience, and to maximize the benefits of Intranets for international staff members. This book is a resource tool designed to solve multilingual problems and issues, providing hands-on information for addressing language and translation issues when building a Web site or application. It is divided into three sections that cover multilingual basics, designing multilingual applications and resources, and multilingual communications and content, respectively. In addition, there is a companion Website which includes updated information, examples of on-line multilingual techniques, and links to translation software sites and resources.
