Author Gene Coleman provides players and coaches with a proven programme for getting in shape for baseball. This book provides a complete year-round schedule of workouts for the off-season and for peak performance when it counts - during the season and playoffs. These day-by-day, week-by-week, season-by-season workouts include resistance training, total conditioning exercises and position-specific drills. the workouts are divided into two age categories: ages 12 to 18 and ages 19 and over. The training plan conforms well to secondary school, university and summer-league calendars and organises workouts into sequential phases: post-season, off-season, pre-season and in-season. In addition to these detailed weekly fitness programmes, the book describes how to perform each drill and exercise and includes more than 150 photographs showing proper technique.
