Description
Stroke is one of the most common illnesses of old age. This book provides an in-depth analysis of the prevention, management, and treatment of this disease and its impact upon patients. A wide range of issues are considered from the diagnosis of the disease and the various types of preventive treatments such as aspirin, anticoagulants and carotid surgery to the prevenion of complications, the organization of acute stroke care, and improving long-term rehabilitation.
