Description
Focuses upon Francis Picabia's late work and the multi-layered, enigmatic character of his oeuvre. The artist primarily gained attention through his work with Duchamp, and his contribution to the Dadaist movement. This book, however, examines his role as a pioneer of Post-Modernism. The nudes, bad paintings and abstract pieces are all collated in this volume and bear witness to the restless visionary approach of an artist unwilling to settle for the mandate of a particular style.
