Description and Table of Contents
Description
This new edition reports on major world events of geographic significance, concentrating on the 21st century. Updated features include a new numbering system, and a website featuring "Virtual Field Trips". Concepts, ideas, and terms, that appear in the text, have been numbered at the beginning of each chapter to provide students and instructors with a system for finding key concepts, and physical geography is presented in a more consistent fashion from chapter to chapter. A foldout map of the world in 1900 is also included, so that comparisons can be made from the beginning to the end of the 20th century. The website highlights approximately 13 "Virtual Field Trips", that provide the opportunity for students to travel (virtually) to other areas of the world.
