内容説明
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) have been receiving considerable industry attention. Features such as autonomous cruise control, urban drive control and lane departure warnings have been developed to respond to the volume growth in vehicles, increased congestion and stressful traffic conditions on the road. These advances are being pioneered within European initiatives such as DRIVE, PORMETHEUS and similar programmes in North America and the Pacific Rim. However there are several risk issues that need to be satisfactorily addressed before ADAS can emerge as viable mass market products. This text presents part of the IMechE seminar proceedings that cover the technological and engineering issues of ADAS as well as examining questions regarding driver and market acceptability, safety risks and emerging standardization.
目次
- Advanced driver assistance systems - a European perspective
- anti-collision ASSIST (A-CA) - the compromises between automatic intervention and driver responsibility
- inter-urban scenario assessment of adaptive cruise control
- intelligent speed control and effects on driving behaviour
- millimetre wave antennas for future vehicle communications
- technologies for advanced co-operative (TACO) driving - a study of the operation of road convoys
- the human factor in advanced driver assistance systems
- psychological issues in driver automation
- why should the government be concerned with ADAS?
