内容説明
This six-volume set incorporates early contributions to the understanding of the history, religion and languages of the Ancient Near East. Tiele's Comparative History of the Egyptian and Mesopotamian Religions, translated from the Dutch, examines literature and religion from Ancient Egypt to the time of the Persian conquest. Long's Eastern Proverbs and Emblems provides an interesting insight into proverbs and how they differ among the different regions. Budge's History of Esarhaddon includes a transliteration of Assyrian signs, as well as a detailed history of the reign of Esarhaddon.

内容説明
This is Volume III of six in a series on the Ancient Near East. Originally published in 1880, this is a succinct account of the Talmud with its siz orders (Sedarim), seventy-one Massictoth and 633 Perakim, and 4187 Mishnaoith. A considerable part of the Mishna has been at different times translated into English and other modern languages, and to many theologians it has been known as a whole by the magnificent work of Surenhusius.
