This anthology (part of the Figures in a Landscape series) celebrates and explores the particular qualities of writing from Ireland. The stories are by Irish writers or those of recent Irish family background and include some written by the Irish diaspora. They explore the deeply influential and often ambivalent attitude of Irish people to their country and their religions and the sharp distinction between rural and urban living.
