内容説明
Since the 17th century, liberal thought has been interested in the rights of individuals and their capacity to engage as free equals in the political acticity of their community. This volume presents essays that explore citizenship from a fresh perspective. The contributors argue that it is time to go beyond the standard concern of what can be ascribed to citizens, rather one must ask what should be demanded of a citizen, in the name of the protection of liberty, equality and stabilty.
