内容説明
This book is based on an empirical study which sets out to identify the personal characteristics of Hong Kong successful entrepreneurs and high-flyers in order to understand their patterns of characteristics from a psychological dimension using cognitive perspectives. In addition, the book is one of the few attempts to apply western theoretical perspectives in understanding Chinese personality and behaviours, in general and in management. The scope and methodology used in the study have several original features which are not found in previous work. Firstly, the study conceptualizes the successful career people from a life-span development approach. Secondly, the study contributes to the growing knowledge and database on the link between Confucian traditions and career success people. Thirdly, the study has employed a combination of intensive interviewing and quantitative measures in identifying a set of personal characteristic patterns. Lastly, the study has gathered useful data by administering Cattell's 16PF, Levenson's IPC scales and Borland's Type A/B Behaviour Questionnaires.
