The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) has funded the work of an interdisciplinary group of researchers from 1984-1995 to promote basic research in chemistry and physics of macromolecular systems. This final report documents the results in form of reviews and original publications. It covers the fields of photoelectric, thermal, optical, and magnetic properties of macromolecular solids (polymers and polymer crystals), micellar structures, liquid crystals, and biopolymers and surfactant systems.
