Description
This book is a comprehensive introduction to VM/CMS (Virtual Machine/Conversational Monitor System) which is a general purpose operating system developed by IBM to run on computers ranging from minicomputers such as the IBM 9370, to supercomputers such as the IBM 3090. These machines, under VM/CMS, are used for a variety of applications such as statistics, text editing, text processing, communications, and the computational sciences. The book contains command syntax as well as tutorial discussions clarifying the use of particular commands and how they relate to others.
