Description and Table of Contents
Description
Lemurs represent a group of highly interesting and threatened species. These beautiful and protected animals occur only on Madagascar and the Comoros and their unique environment is decreasing in size every year. The CD-ROM gives a complete overview of all lemurs with detailed full-colour drawings, spectacular photography, and sounds for most of the species. Also included are an interactive identification key and distribution maps. Special attention is given to their environment and the management problems of protecting and maintaining their habitat. All text is hyperlinked: an illustrated glossary defines more than 250 scientific terms. Principal literature references for this group are included in this program.
