Urinary incontinence is a common problem, affecting the lives of more than ten percent of women. Many sufferers never seek help; many who do are trreated improperly of inadequately due to a lack of knowledge and understanding. This is a practical and basic guide to the problem of urinary incontinence in women, aimed at doctors, nurses and other involved professionals. It describes the wide range of investigations now available to provide an accurate diagnosis and explains how the correct treatment may be planned on the basis of this diagnosis.
