This textbook aims to focus on the core knowledge, skills and attitudes which should be common to all rehabilitative roles regardless of client groups or the setting of care. It aims to develop an appropriate knowledge base for the development of rehabilitation nursing practice. The book is divided into three main sections 1 General Issues, covering the context in which rehabilitation nursing takes place, and providing the reader with an understanding of the theoretical frameworks and concepts which underpin rehabilitation. 2. Care planning, is devoted to the nurses role in rehabilitation , explored in the context of care planning and rehabilitation. 3. Issues in Rehabilitation, is intended to challenge thinking about rehabilitation by focussing on some more controversial issues within rehabilitation and nurses role within it.
