内容説明
Each year approximately one million women are diagnosed with breast cancer. This disease is the focus of an enormous amount of research interest and keeping up-to-date and informed of these latest developments is an almost impossible task. Clinicians need a book where they can read a distilled account of what is really topical in the subject. For the most part, this should reflect their primary interest in treating patients, It is also important that they are kept up-to-speed on the basic science, particularly in terms of causal mechanisms and the application of this knowledge into better prevention programes. Challenges in Breast Cancer meets this need by bringing together a series of essays on hot topics in breast cancer in which the authors have been challenged to present a lively and opinionated debate on present knowledge and future developments. These chapters are, therefore, quite unlike those in standard texts. An additional feature is that the authors have star-rated their references to guide the reader towards the best source of further reading.
Challenges in Breast Cancer is a highly topical book designed for the specialist in search of the latest thinking on the many controversial areas that sorround breast cancer.
