It illustrates the diversity of fungal agents and provides ample molecular data for the majority of clinically relevant fungi. In addition, antifungal susceptibility data is given for most species, providing essential knowledge for the clinician in view of adequate therapy.Numerous emerging opportunistic species are covered including recently described agents of brain infection such as Ramichloridium mackenziei and Cladophialophora modesta, as well as several Trichoderma species.
