Description
This book is a spin-off of the author's earlier award-winning Music Printing in Renaissance Venice: The Scotto Press (1539-1572) and is about the commerce of music and its connection to the printing and publishing industry in mid-sixteenth century Venice. While it incorporates much of the material presented in the former study, it presents a broad portrayal of the Venetian music book trade and explores business strategies that music printeres followed in the
marketing of musical repertories.
