Proceedings of the 7th International Congress of Pediatric Othorhinolaryngology June 7-10, 1998. Helsinki, Finland
Description and Table of Contents
Description
The European Society of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology (ESPO) in collaboration with numerous related organizations all over the world presented the 7th International Congress of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology in Helsinki, Finland on June 7-10, 1998. This was a major international event that attracted over 1000 delegates and guests from 52 countries. To record the main parts of the congress, "Excerpta Medica International Congress Series" has presented a new medium for a wide and timely dissemination of the scientific information in the form of a CD-ROM. 'ICS 1180, Advances in Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology', will be the model for future professional congresses and meetings where the editing, digitalization and access is now available through a CD-ROM and the World Wide Web. This CD-ROM proceedings is a compilation of 450 contributions from 150 invited speakers who are recognized authorities in their specific fields. It includes topics from all major areas of pediatric otorhinolaryngology...from basic research to clinical applications, from rare diseases to major problems, from care to cure.
Furthermore, it contains special lectures on recent advancements, plenary session on topics of special interest, symposia conducted by prominent authorities, as well as free papers, video and poster sessions, and an update of the most essential new knowledge and scientific advancements in pediatric otorhinolaryngology.
