Construction Congress VI: Building Together for a Better Tomorrow in an Increasingly Complex World is a collection of papers presented at the sixth Construction Congress in Orlando, Florida, February 20-22, 2000. These papers on the state-of-the-art and practice in construction cover a variety of topics including: construction modeling and simulation; electronic communications; quality of design and construction; sustainable development; business and management strategies; design-build delivery; safety in construction; lean construction; construction of foundations and earthwork; productivity; residential and specialty construction; build-operate-transfer; construction education; and engineering performance. The special needs of constructing advanced technology facilities that make the computers, which drive the new economy, are also discussed. In addition, a number of invited papers on 4-dimensional CAD are presented.
