Description
During the course of an illustrious 50-year career that took him from the Bauhaus to New York, architect Marcel Breuer (1902-1981) generated a huge, influential and varied body of work. This is a comprehensive study of his oeuvre, looking at both Breuer's built and unbuilt work. He was a master of concrete technology and produced hundreds of buildings and designs that are distinguished by the diversity of their structure, material and form. He has been referred to as "the last modernist". This text aims to make it clear why his work was so revered.
