Description
Since the publication of the previous edition, the Internet and electronic access to information has changed the landscape dramatically, raising new questions and issues to consider. Information providers in all types of settings must be equipped to set guidelines and policies for new and fast-changing points of access, factoring in all of the traditional principles of intellectual freedom. This work serves as a guide for developing policy, responding to censorship challenges, developing a materials section programme, dealing with pressure groups, and promoting access to all types of information for all types of users in the new millennium.
