Description
Issued under Section 71 of the Housing Act 1985, this Code of Practice is wider in scope than previous editions. It is designed for staff in local housing and social services departments and authorities who are responsible for policy on homelessness, or who deal with homeless people. The Code may also be of use to local authority councillors and staff in advice centres. The Code is not intended for homeless applicants themselves, since it concentrates heavily on the legislative requirements.
