内容説明
Conflict of laws is a subject of growing importance, especially in the light of developments in the European Union. This book covers the main topics within the subject: general principles and concepts involved in conflict of laws; domicile of individuals and corporations; jurisdiction; choice of law in contract, tort, family relationships and property matters; and recognition and enforcement of foreign judgements and arbitral awards. Important principles and carefully selected cases in these areas are highlighted and explained. The aim of this book is to assist students in their revision of the subject by enabling them to gain experience in answering examination questions. The undergraduate student reading conflict of laws should find this book particularly useful when preparing for examinations, whilst postgraduates should find its references and discussions worthy of further examination and exploration.
