Description and Table of Contents

Description

Nursing Diagnosis Handbook, fifth edition, is a convenient reference to help nursing students and practicing nurses select a nursing diagnosis and write plans of care with ease and confidence. The book provides care plans for every NANDA diagnosis and provides a quick access index of appropriate nursing diagnoses for over 1,200 clinical entities including signs and symptoms, medical diagnoses, and surgeries across the life span. The revision of this successful book will incorporate all of the new and revised NANDA diagnoses from the 2000 meeting, as well as further integration of both the NIC and NOC taxonomies. The new edition will also indicate evidence-based interventions and rationales with a margin icon, and a two-color design will readily identify important content and increase ease of use. A new MERLIN website will provide students with the opportunity to create customized plans of care for their clients.
