内容説明

From the beginning of Ralph Nutter's navigating career, it was clear that he was exceptionally gifted. His performance in the skies over Germany led to great responsibilities such as being chosen as lead navigator for the Eighth Air Force raids which included hundreds of heavy bombers at a time. His achievements meant that he was rapidly promoted until finally he was appointed personal navigator to Maj. Gen. Curtis 'the Eagle' LeMay. Nutter was later transferred to B-29 superfortress duty in the Pacific where his reputation preceded him and he was immediately chosen by Maj. Gen. Haywood 'Possum' Hansell - commander of the Twentieth Air Force - to be his personal navigator. His gripping recollections tell the tale of one of the USAF's most talented airmen. Not only were his technical skills second to none, but the force of his personality led his achieving an unparalleled level of trust and respect amongst those with whom he worked.
