内容説明・目次
内容説明
Designed as a companion text to the author's Communication Law in America , this case law book can comfortably stand on its own.
Cases in Communication Law covers 57 cases in all - 34 United States Supreme Court decisions, 15 federal appellate decisions, and six federal district court cases. The book also includes two state cases: one from the Supreme Court of Hawaii and the other from a lower court in New York.
The chapter sequence mirrors that found in Siegel's Communication Law in America. Several excerpts of court cases are included for each topic, rather than one long case per chapter, resulting in more meaningful, manageable selections. Whenever possible, cases were selected for their recognized status as "landmark" decisions, though readability and comprehensibility were also important criteria.
