内容説明

McCance & Huether's "Pathophysiology: The Biologic Basis for Disease in Adults and Children" has been the leading pathophysiology textbook since publication of the first edition in 1989. Key reasons for its success include comprehensive coverage, complete and separate treatment of paediatric pathophysiology, clear writing, and numerous illustrations, in full-colour beginning with the third edition. The new, fourth edition of this authoritative and classic text features extensively revised and updated content, and a greatly enhanced full-colour design and art program. The book is divided into two parts. Part one presents the general principles of pathophysiology, including cellular structure, injury, and repair; fluids and electrolytes, and acid-base balance; immunity, inflammation, and infection; stress; and oncogenesis. The influence of the environment and the role of genetics in the development of disease are also discussed. Part two is organized by body system, and for each system it provides an overview of normal anatomy and physiology, alterations of function in adults, and alterations of function in children. The alterations chapters consistently present the pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, and evaluation and treatment of each disease.
