The first of two volumes on the Acta of the diocese of Chichester, presenting Latin texts 1 to 188. Bishops Richard Poore, Ranulf of Wareham, Ralph Neville and Richard Wich are all represented. The introduction, which serves for both volumes, examines the nature of the diocese, its bishops and staff, the content of the Acta, the palaeography, dates and the editorial method. The second volume, Volume 23, is also available.

The second of two Chichester volumes presenting Latin Acta, numbered 189 to 344, produced in the diocese during the second half of the 13th century. Bishops John Climping, Stephen Bersted and Gilbert of St Leofard are represented. Appendices include a discussion of the use of the Bishop's Seal and the itineraries of the bishops of Chichester between 1215 and 1305. The first Chichester volume, Volume 22, is also available.
