Note
Consists of a title leaf and 95 leaves of coloured plates, chiefly numbered. Сводный каталог русской книги гражданской печати XVIII века : 1725-1800. T. 4. (Москва, 1966) tells that "Открываемая Россія...." published as a series, from no.1 (1774) to no.12 (1776). Each issue consist of 5 leaves of plates. It is known that these illustrations are used in : Georgi, Johan Gottlieb. Beschribung aller Nationen des Russischen Reichs...(4 v. St.Petersburg, 1776-1780). Total number of illustrations in this edition is 95. Presumably, a collector picked up a set of these illustrated leaves, bound them with the title leaf of the 1st issue in one vol.
