内容説明
Positive images of Africa contrast with negative images of misery, war and catastrophes often conveyed by the mass media. From a research project "Cultural Images in and of Africa" comes this selection of edited papers. Included are interviews with two prominent scholars, Professor V. Y. Mudimbe and Professor Terence Ranger, and texts by one of Africa's most prominent authors, Yvonne Vera, and from one of the world's most renowned scholars specialising in African literature, Bernth Lindfors.
