They decide to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death and what the connection is with the Iceman - the sinister captain of the boat. Susan Gates is a well-known children's author who has written many books for Oxford University Press. "Raider" was commended for the Carnegie Medal and shortlisted for the Guardian Children's Fiction Award.
