In 1972, Stonehill Books published David Dalton's Janis, a multimedia extravaganza that incorporated interviews, quotes, photographs, lyrics, Rolling Stone Clippings, sheet music, a record of rapping and singing, and prose as wild and moving as Janis's performances.
