Note
An expanded, updated, and revised ed. of "The selected poetry of Jaroslav Seifert" (André Deutsch / Macmillan, 1986), and includes the entire volume "The Plague column" (eight additional poems) as well as the entirety of the long title poem. Nineteen poems from other volumes have also been added. The text used by Ewald Osers in translating "The Plague column" is Seifert's own samizdat version, which differs from the official, published version in many respects. A pronunciation guide has also been added.
