Description
This proceedings is a collection of papers presented at the Composite Construction in Steel and Concrete IV conference held May 28-June 2, 2000 in Banff, Alberta, Canada. These papers provide a comprehensive overview of the state of research and practice in composite construction at the turn of the twenty-first century. Topics include innovative composite structural systems, composite bridges, composite beams and columns, composite slabs, shear connectors, fire in composite structures, seismic engineering of composite structures, and case studies in composite construction. Experimental, computational, and analytical research are all covered, and a number of papers focus on practical composite design, including several summaries of the state of practice in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
