Description
Asia and the Pacific is witnessing the fact that older persons are becoming a larger and more visible part of the economic, social and political landscape. In three parts, this publication focuses on the situation of older persons in the region. Part One provides a regional overview of older persons. Part Two highlights successful practices of community-based services for older persons in Asia and the Pacific. Part Three presents the findings of research on older persons in Cambodia, a war-torn country which is among the young societies in the region, yet is expected to face challenges of population ageing in the future.
