Uniting 47 famous paintings by Georgia O'Keeffe from collections all over the United States with 27 images by photographer Alfred Stieglitz, this book focuses on the two artists' work, their stormy and passionate marriage and the influence they had on one another's pictures. It is a visual and literary excursion into the strong emotions that drove two talented artists. The author attempts to capture their lives in this book which is supplemented with comparative illustrations of works by other artists including Anselm Adams, Arnold Newman and Auguste Rodin.
