内容説明
Giorgio Armani mixes fabrics and colours with subtlety and boldness, transforming reality into fashion, and fashion into taste, bearing and style. And even into dream - although that's a word that makes him quite wary if it alludes only the unreal and impossible. As he says, "fashion shouldn't just make you dream, it should help you live, which is something profoundly different". The show is a fashion's "exam" that takes place every six months, and even though you would think that his years of experience and success would help to calm him down by now, the designer defines it as "a moment of total anxiety". So it would be truly absurd to have a photographer there, with his demands for lights, for poses. Any photographer, that is, except Roger Hutchings, who looks at fashion with the curious eye and lens of someone who has not been jaded by the routine. This photojournalist, so unconnected to the flashy world of fashion, came into Armani's backstage universe with his intelligence and discretion, to document a special event: the first fashion show in the new theatre designed by Tadao Ando, the Japanese master of an architecture of geometric purity. This book records the event.
