内容説明
This study illuminates efforts to promote the cause of peace within the early modern ecumenical movement, with particular emphasis on the difficult task of promoting Christian pacifism in Germany in the period 1914-1933. It focuses especially on the work of a largely forgotten ecumenical organization, the World Alliance for Promoting International Friendship through the Churches, and its leading German protagonist, Friedrich Siegmund-Schultze.
