内容説明
This book identifies the need, in today's rapidly-developing business world, for organisations to be ready to adapt to change in order to survive and prosper. To do so entails the need to be able to learn, by recognising the value of individual, team and organisational learning. By encouraging individuals and teams to accept responsibility and authority for their actions, and by encouraging risk-taking, businesses are more likely to reap rewards of innovation, creativity and improved employee motivation and performance. Having identified some key characteristics, the book goes on to suggest what organisations can do to become learning organisations, with a series of exercises and discussion points to be used in the workplace. The role of senior management is shown to be vital in giving a clear signal about how learning is seen to be integral to business objectives. There is a list of useful contacts, and an excellent review of literature on the subject of the learning organisation. This book will be beneficial to all businesses, whether in manufacturing or services, who wish to maximise the potential of their employees.
