Description
This book deals with the question of the emergence of hierarchies and increasingly ranked socities in Late Neolithic and Chalcolithic Portugal. This is done through studying the production, distribution and consumption of a single artefact type - Bifacial lithics. Forenbaher highlights the complexities of the Portuguese economy in the third millennium BC and quantifies and qualifies his arguments on the role played by lithic artefacts.
