内容説明
Known as the father of the Jewish Enlightenment, Mendelssohn argued powerfully for religious toleration and Jewish emancipation. His campaign to take Jewish people into secular society brought him into conflict with both anti-Semites and conservative rabbis. These volumes include his biography, documents relating to the controversy and Mendelssohn's main work, "Jerusalem".
